Santisima Trinidad

Santisima Trinidad (Holy Trinity) Church looks nothing like the typical churches found in the Philippines. This chapel used bricks as its main building material, following a look inspired by the Richardson Romanesque style. The interiors are inspired by Byzantine architecture, the altar featuring a total of 40 religious icons including the 12 apostles. All the paintings were imported from Greece following the traditional egg tempera painting. Established in 2013 by “healing priest” Fr. Fernando Suarez, Santisima Trinidad Church is the first permanent place of worship in Ilin Island.

 Inasakan Beach

Inasakan Beach is a lovely one kilometer patch of fine, powdery white sand surrounded by crystal-blue waters. It only has one cottage for rent (P400). There’s no commercial establishments in the area. However, travelers may refresh themselves with buko juice sold at P15. In addition to swimming and sunbathing, beach-goers can also go snorkel provided they bring their own gears.
